I have successfully made an antenna for my daily use using slim jim diagram for 146mhz connected to ICOM 2200H mobile rig powered by computer power supply unit (PSU). Now i can trigger all nearby repeaters and simplex channel too. For your information, this slim jim antenna made from house’s electric cable, 15mm PVC pipe and 10 feet steel pipe for the pole.
