How To Apply Amateur Radio / Ham Radio License For Malaysian

1. Visit http://www.skmm.gov.my/ for Radio Amateur Examination (RAE) notice.
2. Download the application form.
3. Fill the application form.
4. Your application form must be include with 1 copy of your identification card and MYR50.00 bank draft or money order to “SURUHANJAYA KOMUNIKASI DAN MULTIMEDIA MALAYSIA”
5. Dont forget to write the examination serial number to the up left corner of your envelope.
6. Send it to the nearest SKMM’s office.
7. Wait for the confirmation letter.
8. sit for RAE.100s multiple choice question.You need to pass at least half of the questions.
9. see your RAE’s result at http://rae.skmm.gov.my/ see if you pass, then you should receive your pass letter.
10. Fill all needed forms, two of 9m’s signature, callsign application, etc.
11. Submit to MCMC and wait for your class B apparatus assignment!

 p/s: to get full class license which is class A, you need to sit for Morse code test. more privileged on HF. Usually, you can see RAE’s notice every April and October. Only twice a year.
