What Is Station Manager?

At its core, the Station Manager is a fully programmable hardware controller that connects via LAN or the Internet to manage an entire lineup of Genius family devices, popular transceivers, and other station peripherals. Whether you’re operating a high-performance contest station or a remote setup, Station Manager aims to simplify and unify your station’s control infrastructure.

Supported Devices (Version 1.0)

Out of the box, version 1.0 of Station Manager supports direct control of several popular devices:

Genius Devices:

• Power Genius XL, XXL TWIN, VHF
• Tuner Genius
• Rotor Genius
• Antenna Genius

Transceivers:

• Kenwood: TS-590, TS-890
• Yaesu: FTDX101, FTDX10, FTDX3000, FTDX5000
• Icom: IC-7610, IC-7300, and others
• Elecraft: K3, K4

For radios that rely on RS232 or CI-V interfaces, the optional CAT2LAN adapter bridges the gap — enabling full network integration and acting as a band/PTT server for all Genius devices.

Designed for Expansion

Future updates will introduce support for additional devices, including:

• Amplifiers from ACOM and OM Power
• Rotor controllers (Yaesu, M2, GH, and more)
• Legacy serial-controlled hardware
• Any LAN- or serial-enabled device

The platform is designed with scalability in mind, promising long-term value and flexibility.

Hands-On Control: Buttons, Encoders, and Profiles

Station Manager isn’t just a network node — it’s a tactile interface with:

• 24 Programmable Buttons: Pre-mapped in V1.0 for Antenna Genius functions, but customizable in future releases.
• 12 Programmable Encoders: Ideal for controlling radios, rotators, or other station components.

You can also save profiles for different operating modes (FT8, SO2R, RTTY, etc.) and switch between them instantly.

Multiple Connectivity Options

You’re not locked into a single connection method. Station Manager supports:

• LAN (recommended for stability)
• Wi-Fi (for more flexible setups)
• GSM (for mobile or backup use)

Bluetooth support is on the roadmap, offering even more control options in future updates.
