VR-N7600 Firmware Adds Satellite Mode with Doppler Shift Compensation

VGC VR-N7600

Vero Global Communication (VGC) has released a firmware update for the VR-N7600 that introduces automatic Doppler shift compensation—a long-requested feature for amateur satellite operators. This enhancement allows the radio to adjust transmit and receive frequencies in real time while tracking satellites, improving communication clarity as satellites move rapidly across the sky.

Key Features in This Update:

  • Satellite Mode support
  • Automatic Doppler shift correction
  • Customizable button controls for transmit power adjustments

This firmware update is currently in beta testing, limited to 100 users. If you attempt to install it and receive an error, the beta quota has likely been filled. You can wait for the public release if that happens.

How to Install the Beta Firmware:

  1. Open the Vero VR-N7600 app (latest version required).
  2. Go to Device Settings > Tap on the Firmware Version number.
  3. When it shows “No updates are available”, tap the text 10+ times quickly.
  4. The hidden firmware update screen will appear.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
